I saw how two comedians handled old offensive jokes and it was like night and day
I mean, Louis C.K. just kind of vanished for a while and then came back like nothing happened, which felt weird. But Hasan Minhaj actually sat down, explained his old material, and said he understood why it hurt people, which felt way more real. It made me think the difference is owning the mistake instead of just waiting for it to blow over. Has anyone else seen a public figure handle a call-out in a way that actually changed your mind about them?

Yeah, it's the same thing with regular people at work or in friend groups. Someone screws up, and you can tell right away if they're actually sorry or just doing damage control. The ones who just get quiet and hope you forget never really earn back trust. But when someone looks you in the eye, says they messed up and why it was wrong, you can actually move forward. That real apology makes all the difference.

The Louis CK thing always bothered me because he never really explained his side. What do you think makes someone decide to just stay quiet instead of addressing it head on like Minhaj did?
