The night a Twitter mob came for my local diner changed my take on callouts

I was at Joe's Diner in Pittsburgh when the owner got dragged online for a joke a regular told him, 300 replies in under 2 hours. The guy lost his weekend rush and closed Monday, even though the regular said it was taken out of context. Does anyone else feel like the punishment never fits the original offense these days?
