Waiting 14 months for a public apology, got a DM instead

I followed this local influencer in Austin who got called out for posting fake charity receipts. I thought the callout thread would end with a real apology video or something. Instead she waited 14 months, then sent me a private DM saying she 'handled it internally'. Has anyone else gotten a private apology that felt worse than no apology at all?

Honestly, that DM just sounds like she was trying to save face more than anything.
