inQuestion about writing code before and after AI helpers
See that same pattern with any tool you get good at. You stop thinking about the hammer and start thinking about the house. The real work moves from your hands to your head.

inJust figured out a weird trick to get my neighbor to turn his music down
Just be careful with the dog poop thing, that could actually be illegal in some places. Your mowing idea was way smarter lol.

inHad to choose between a 6-inch and 8-inch jointer for a big maple job
Used to always grab the smaller tool for speed. Learned the hard way on a cherry cabinet job just like your maple. That extra setup time is nothing compared to the hours you lose making extra passes. Now I always pick the machine that gives me a single pass, even if it takes longer to get ready. It feels slower at the start but you finish the whole job way faster.

inHeard a foreman say 'code minimum is good enough' on a job in Cincinnati
That "just pass inspection" attitude is how buildings get a bad name. You're right to fix that door gap, because who wants to be the guy who did the bare minimum on a bank everyone uses?
