Rewatched the old show 'The Finder' and it still feels fresh

I put it on for my kids a few weeks ago, thinking they'd be bored... but they got totally into the weird cases and the Florida setting. It was canceled after just one season back in 2012, and the ending left so much open. Seeing how much they liked it made me realize some shows just needed more time to find their people. Anyone else have a one-season wonder they wish got a real shot?

Disagree about it feeling fresh, honestly. The whole "quirky genius" thing feels pretty dated now, and the humor is very early 2010s. Some shows just had their moment and ended at the right time.

Quirky genius feels dated" - nailed it @parker_thomas. Rewatching that show now is like pulling out an old flip phone, it just doesn't work the same. The fast talking and constant pop culture references feel forced, not clever. I remember thinking it was so smart back then, now it's just exhausting to keep up with. Some things really are better left in 2012.

Reminds me of trying to rewatch that one show with the fast-talking lawyer, felt ancient after five minutes.
