My $200 alternator fix only lasted 3 months, should've just scrapped it
Replaced the alternator on my 2005 Civic in April, and now the battery light is back on last week. My buddy said I should've checked the voltage regulator first, but I was too cheap to pay for a proper diag at the shop in Des Moines. Anyone else throw money at an old car and regret not cutting your losses sooner?

Damn, only three months out of a $200 alternator? That hurts. I'd be so mad I'd probably just park it in the yard and stare at it for a week.
