Shoutout to the $0 fix that got me 2 extra hours in my day
Three months ago I was drowning every morning, inbox full before 9am, coffee cold by 10. Then a guy at my gym in Dayton named Marcus told me to stop checking email until after I knock out one real task. I tried it for 6 weeks and my output on the hard stuff went from maybe 2 finished items a day to 5 or 6. I also stopped opening Slack first thing, which alone gave me back about 2 hours before lunch. The weird part is nobody complained, my boss actually said my updates got clearer because they came later but had real info in them. Anyone else tried holding off on messages in the morning, or does your job make that impossible?
