inI used to think my dad was just cheap for keeping his old flip phone. Then his smartphone got hacked and drained his bank account.

inMy air fryer saved dinner after a power outage in Cleveland last month
Totally get that, @the_betty. My big win was using my car's 12V socket to power a tiny travel kettle for instant noodles. Felt like a genius for about five minutes until I realized I was a grown man eating ramen in a dark driveway. It's those small bits of normal life, like a hot meal or a cup of coffee, that stop the whole situation from feeling completely hopeless. You cling to whatever weird little system you can get to work.

Remember when @rubyschmidt tried that epoxy filler on her gelding's hoof? It held for a month before the whole thing popped off.

inA regular at my place in Austin said they'd stopped coming in because our wifi was too slow for work calls.
Upgrade that connection now. Saw @claire_walker's point about schoolwork, and it's the same for business. People need to trust your wifi. 15 Mbps for a whole cafe is like trying to fill a swimming pool with a garden hose. You'll keep losing customers over dropped calls and frozen screens. Good internet is just part of the rent now, like having chairs.
