Spent $500 on a career coaching program that was basically just YouTube videos
I signed up for this big career coaching course back in January because the sales pitch was really good. They promised personalized resume help and direct access to industry insiders. Turned out it was just a bunch of pre-recorded videos I could have found for free, and the 'personal' feedback was a generic email. Has anyone else gotten burned by one of these expensive programs that don't deliver?

Did they offer a money back guarantee? I learned the hard way that these programs are just fancy sales pages. Stick to free stuff on YouTube and LinkedIn.

My buddy spent $800 on one of those LinkedIn programs and got a job offer in 6 weeks, no refund needed. Sometimes paying for structure and accountability beats scrolling through hours of free videos that never quite get to the point.

Did you actually try any of the free stuff first and have it work out, or did you jump straight into paying? I'm asking because I've seen a few people swear by those LinkedIn courses and I'm trying to figure out if the hype is real or just more sales talk.
