Hot take: I gave up on my biscuit joiner for cabinet face frames.
For fifteen years I swore by biscuits for alignment, but last month on a kitchen remodel in Tacoma, I switched to just using a good pocket hole jig and glue. The joint is just as strong for this application, and it saved me over an hour of setup and fussing per frame. Am I the only one who finds biscuits overkill for face frames?

Saw a video from a shop in Spokane that did the same thing... they said after a thousand frames they couldn't tell the difference in the finished product. Just glue and screws holding up fine.

Read an article last year about glue and screw construction. Some engineers were saying it works fine for most houses. They said the real test is racking strength in high winds. That shop in Spokane proves the point. A thousand frames is a solid track record. Makes you wonder why we still do it the old way sometimes.
