Cold leftover chili over cornflakes finally made the soup debate click for me

I tried it last Tuesday after a 12-hour shift and realized my line between cereal and soup is just whether I eat it with a spoon out of a bowl before noon, so has anyone else drawn a hard time-of-day rule for this?
