My brother in law said milk makes it a soup and now I can't stop thinking about it
We argued for 20 minutes at his kitchen table in Reno about whether adding milk turns cereal into soup, and he said soup just means stuff sitting in liquid. I always drew the line at temperature, so does cold milk really change nothing? Where do you all draw it?
Stuff sitting in liquid" is so vague it stops meaning anything, because by that logic a smoothie is soup and nobody believes that. Soup needs heat and savoriness to count, so cold sweet milk in a bowl is just wet cereal, not soup.
