Unpopular opinion: cold gazpacho is basically liquid salad, not soup, and that's fine

Had a rough week where every dinner was a microwave meal because my stove died on a Monday in Columbus. By Thursday I splurged on a $12 pint of gazpacho from a deli and everyone at work called it soup. I ate it with a spoon out of pure spite. It's got tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, oil. That's salad blended. Soup needs hot liquid or broth as a base. Gazpacho is just a chunky smoothie for people who hate fruit. Does anyone else draw the line at temperature or am I alone on this hill?
