The barista who made me rethink my whole pour over routine
I watched this guy at a shop in Portland, Oregon pull a pour over that took 4 minutes and I almost walked out. Turned out he let the water hit the sides first, which I always thought was a mistake. He told me my grind was too fine and my kettle was too hot, so I tried his method at home with the exact same beans. Has anyone else had a stranger's casual advice completely wreck what you thought you knew?
