Just realized I have made 100 dinners for under $5 since March
I started keeping a tally on my fridge back in March mostly as a joke. Hit 100 on Sunday night with a big pot of store brand black bean soup that cost me $3.10 total at the Aldi on 5th Street. What got me was how many of those 100 meals used store brand stuff and I could not tell the difference once it was cooked. So for the people who swear name brand beans and rice taste better, what is the one item you will not buy generic?
