Fumbled my way through a bat in the attic last summer. I was armed with a broom and a shoebox, but mostly just screamed when it flew near me. Ended up knocking over a lamp and spilling my iced tea all over the carpet. The bat finally left through a crack I didn't know existed, and I had to explain the mess to my roommate. Makes that owl in the smoke chamber sound pretty calm by comparison, right?
