Spent $450 on a new chimney camera and it's the best call I ever made

I mean, I was on the fence for months about dropping that much on a SootEye Pro, but after a job in Portland last week, it paid for itself. Found a hidden crack in a flue liner that the old mirror and light would have missed completely. Anyone else using a camera now, or are you still going old school?

Get the camera. That mirror and light trick misses too much. I found a whole section of broken tile last month that was totally hidden from the top. It's not about your eyes failing you, it's about seeing what's actually there. The tech shows you the real problem so you can fix it right.

That's a lot of money for a camera. I've been doing this twenty years and my mirror hasn't failed me yet. Most of the time you can see what you need to see without all that tech.

But @blair_dixon, what about low light or fast action shots?
