TIL my 1,000th sweep came and went without me even noticing the number
I was going through my log book on Sunday night and saw I had crossed 1,000 chimneys back in March at a small ranch house in Cheyenne. The odd thing is the job itself was nothing special, just a basic flue cleaning on a fireplace that hardly got used. I figure that is the way it goes with a number like that, because you are always looking at the next roof instead of the pile behind you. Curious if any of the old timers on here kept count, and what number made you stop and think about it.
