Swore the new bus route app was junk, then it saved me 40 minutes in the rain
When our city rolled out that live bus tracking app in April I laughed at it, because the old schedule boards were never right. For three weeks I kept walking to the corner on 5th and Pine and just guessing like always. Then one Tuesday it poured and I checked the app on a whim, and it showed my 7:42 running 11 minutes late with the bus still 6 stops away. I stayed under the awning and watched two other people get soaked waiting for a bus that wasn't coming yet. Since then I've used it maybe 30 times and it's only been off once, when a driver skipped the route entirely. Anyone else in the downtown core find the tracking is solid on some lines and total fiction on others? Trying to figure out if it's my phone or just the crosstown routes.
