Vent: a pigeon in the food court stared at me for 20 minutes and now I know too much about downtown
Last Tuesday I grabbed lunch at the food court on 5th Street downtown and sat down with a $9 chicken bowl. This one pigeon waddled up and just stood there, about two feet away, staring at me. I shooed it, it hopped back a foot, then came right back like it paid rent. Around minute 20 a guy at the next table goes, "that's Gerald, he's been here since spring." Turns out half the people in that food court know this bird by name and one lady feeds him rice on her lunch break. Now I can't eat there without looking for Gerald first. Does your downtown have a random animal that basically became a local celebrity?
