How my sister's napkin swap made me change our home routine

I used to think small home changes for the climate were a waste of time, especially with kids. But my sister switched to cloth napkins, and her family made it a game to reduce paper use. Seeing her kids get excited about it made me rethink my own habits. Now, we've done the same, and my own children remind me to recycle and save energy. It showed me that involving everyone in simple swaps can cut down on waste without being a chore. I used to focus on big fixes, but these little steps really add up. Plus, it feels good to do something together as a family that helps the planet.

Simple swaps"? Idk, seems like more hassle than help.

Question if it's worth the hassle...

Yeah, I felt the same way about 'simple swaps' at first. I thought switching to cloth napkins would just mean more laundry. But my friend did it and her kids loved picking out their own napkin colors. We tried it too, and now my kids race to see who can use their napkin the most times before washing. It actually saves money and cuts down on trash bags. Seeing the kids care about it makes the little effort worth it.
