My neighbor told me cloth diapers were a waste of money

I argued with her about it for an hour last spring, but after six months of washing them I've spent way more on water and detergent than I would have on disposables. Has anyone else found the math just doesn't work out?

Is it bad that hearing that actually makes me feel a little relieved? I'm not a blogger or anything but I've definitely been down that road myself. Tried really hard to go fully reusable for like six months straight. Got the cloth napkins, the glass straws, the whole deal. But man, sometimes you just forget your bags or you're running late and that guilt hits hard. I think a lot of us secretly struggle with keeping up the perfect eco lifestyle all the time. It's nice to know even the people who make money off this stuff have their moments too. You gotta live your life and do what you can without beating yourself up over it.
