My old gas mower finally quit in the middle of my yard last month. I was about to buy another one when I saw the electric one my neighbor uses.

My buddy Steve in Cincinnati had the same thing happen. His old mower died on a hot Saturday, and he borrowed his neighbor's battery model to finish the lawn. He said the quiet was what got him, just a low hum instead of that awful racket. He ended up buying one the next week and hasn't looked back. He even jokes about missing the smell of gas, but not really.

Yeah, just make sure you get a battery that can handle your whole yard. Nothing worse than running out of juice halfway through.
