Spent $180 on a tool holder that ran out .003 on the second op, and I caught it way too late
Last Tuesday I was running a batch of 40 aluminum brackets on my Tormach and about halfway through I noticed the finish looked off on one side. I checked the tool holder and the runout was .003, which is way too much for a finish pass, so I pulled every part I'd made and found 12 of them were scrap. The holder was only 3 months old and I paid $180 for it, so I was pretty hot about it. I ended up going back to my old holder that's beat to hell but still runs under .0005. Anyone else had a holder go bad that fast, or did I just get a bad one?
