Showerthought: an old timer at the shop in Dayton told me he always leaves his vise handles loose, and half the guys I know would call that insane
He walked over to my mill, tapped the handle on my vise, and asked if I wanted to find out what a 2 inch face mill does when the part shifts at 3000 rpm, so now I'm wondering if snug is really the move or if we're all just copying the guy who trained us.
