I finally saw a proper latte art throwdown in Portland and it blew my mind

I stopped by this tiny shop on SE Division last Saturday for a $6 cortado and they were hosting a competition in the back, maybe 30 people crammed in watching. The winning pour had this layered rosetta with a heart inside that took the barista like 40 seconds of pure focus, and the crowd went dead silent when she set it down. Has anyone else watched a live throwdown and felt like their own home setup is suddenly embarrassing, or is that just me?
