Thought pre-ground coffee was a crime until a bag from a roaster in Tulsa changed my mind
For years I turned my nose up at anything pre-ground. I figured fresh beans and a burr grinder were the only way to drink coffee, end of story. Then a coworker handed me a bag of pre-ground Ethiopian from a shop in Tulsa, and I made it in my drip pot out of pure politeness. It tasted clean and sweet, way better than my own beans that were sitting in the cupboard for three weeks. Turns out grind freshness matters less than I thought, and bean freshness matters more. Has anyone else had a cheap shortcut beat their whole setup?
