I swear, the delays on 'The Walking Dead' issues back in the day tried my soul. Every month I'd hope for a new issue, only to see another delay notice. It got to the point where I almost stopped collecting. But when a new issue did come out, it was always a big deal. What's the longest you've waited for a comic?

I used to get so mad about waiting a few extra weeks for my monthly books. Then I learned about "Cerebus." Some people waited over a year between issues near the end because Dave Sim was doing everything alone. That kind of put my minor annoyance into perspective.

Actually, the wait between Cerebus issues got way longer than a year near the end, lol. I think the gap between #186 and #187 was almost two years.

Switch to trades for books with spotty schedules, that's my only real tip. I got tired of the Walking Dead delays too, and just started picking up the hardcovers. It's less immediate, but you get a whole chunk of story and the art usually looks better. Waiting for the next Cerebus phone book was way easier than tracking down single issues.
