That day at the flea market when a seller laughed at my beat-up comics

I used to bag every single issue I owned, even crappy 90s variants, but after that guy told me nobody wants to dig through a pile of polybags, I switched to only bagging stuff worth over $10 and now I actually enjoy flipping through my boxes.

Bagging everything doesn't actually protect the books if you don't change the bags every few years. I pulled a 1992 X-Men out of its original bag last year and the thing had chemical burn spots all over the cover from the plastic breaking down. @perez.willow is right that it can get out of hand, but the real trick is knowing when to toss the old supplies and start fresh. I only bag high value stuff now and keep the rest in short boxes with dividers, way less maintenance.

Bagging everything is just hoarding with extra steps.
