Thought Invincible was overhyped until I binged the whole run in 3 days

Kept seeing everyone rave about it but the premise sounded dumb to me. Found a cheap tpb at a used shop for $8, read the first issue and couldnt put it down. Anyone else sleep on a series and then get totally hooked?

Slept on Invincible for years because I thought it was just another superhero comic trying too hard... then a buddy handed me the first compendium and I didn't see sunlight for a weekend. My own fault for judging a book by its "guy in a blue suit" cover, I guess. Used to think I was too cool for the hype train, turns out I was just late to the station.

Ngl, that's exactly what happened to my buddy @rowan725. He spent like a month trying to get me to read it and I kept brushing him off until he basically threw the first trade at me and told me to shut up and read it. Now I owe him one.
