Spent my first 2 years diving in the Gulf, now I'm looking at a bridge job in Seattle and I can't decide
Been doing sat work out of Louisiana since 2021, mostly inspection and some light construction. Got a call from a buddy about a spot on a bridge inspection crew up in Seattle. Better pay, home every night, but it's all shallow work. 60ft max most days.
I'm 31 and my body already hurts. The money offshore is good but I'm tired of living in a bell for 28 days. Part of me says take the bridge job and actually have a life. Other part says I'm selling out and I'll miss the deep stuff.
Anybody here make that switch? Did you regret it or was it the right call?
