Told my dive buddy saturation pays the same as surface work and he showed me a 2019 IMCA sheet that shut me up
Honestly I argued for 20 minutes at the dock in Fourchon that sat divers and surface guys on the same job pull close to the same day rate once you break it down hourly. He pulled up an IMCA pay chart on his phone showing sat divers billed around 2.5 times the surface rate for the same spread, and that was before the daily depth bonus kicked in. I have been diving 11 years and nobody ever walked me through that math on a real sheet, just bar talk. Ngl it stung a bit realizing how much I left on the table by staying shallow. Has anyone here actually moved from surface to sat and seen the check match what those charts claim?
