Warning: that fancy new drysuit zipper took me 3 hours to seat properly on a job in Port Angeles last month

I thought I could swap it out in 45 minutes like the old brass zipper but the plastic one kept binding and I ended up redoing the sealant twice, has anyone else fought with those new zippers or did I just get a lemon?

Lube the gasket track first, then zip it in stages while the sealant's still wet.

Honestly, "while the sealant's still wet" is such solid advice I wish I'd known it last week.
