Sometimes those weird tangents open up interesting talks though. I've heard some strange stuff that actually made me look at things differently.

Yeah, and you see that pattern everywhere, right? Like people just testing the edges of what's okay to say. @the_nancy has a point though, sometimes the weird talks are the ones that stick with you.
