Thermal imaging camera made me eat my skepticism after 4 job sites
I spent 6 months calling those handheld thermal cameras a gimmick for finding missing insulation, but a friend finally loaned me one on a remodel in Austin. We caught a cold spot behind a finished wall that explained a customer's high electric bill, and the repair paid for the camera in one afternoon. Has anyone else been forced to change their mind about a tool they dismissed, or do you still think some of this tech is overhyped?
