I was at a small creator meetup in Austin and a guy showed me his editing setup.
He had his whole workflow on a single screen with just a few key shortcuts. He said, 'I only use three tools for 90% of my cuts.' I tried it when I got home and cut my edit time for a 10 minute video from 4 hours down to 2.5. Has anyone else simplified their process like that and what tools did you pick?

Just three tools? That guy must have the patience of a saint. I'd be lost without my dozen different buttons and menus.

Right there with you @danielr94, my toolbox is a total mess.

Exactly, and it's like @danielr94 said, we all just collect more stuff. It's not just tools, it's every app on my phone or tab in my browser. We keep adding options thinking it gives us control, but it really just makes a mess. The simple way is harder because you have to actually think and plan. We'd rather have a cluttered toolbox than admit we only need a few things done well.
