Am I the only one who thinks buying a $400 content calendar tool was a waste?
Honestly I dropped $400 on a fancy content planning tool about 8 months ago and I regret it every single week. Everyone on YouTube and LinkedIn swears you need a full system with drag and drop boards and AI topic suggestions, but for my little blog about home coffee gear it just added busywork. I spent more time moving cards around than writing, which is backwards. What finally saved me was a $12 notebook from Walgreens and a plain Google Sheet I built in 20 minutes, and my output went from 2 posts a month to 7. Ngl the tool did have one good feature, a scheduling view, but I could get that same thing free. Tbh I think a lot of content strategy advice is just people selling software. Has anyone here gone back to basics after paying for a big platform, and did it stick?
