Wasted $180 on a content calendar tool that does less than my $0 spreadsheet
I run a small blog about home coffee gear and thought I needed to get serious about planning posts, so I paid for a year of a big content calendar tool back in March. The thing kept crashing every time I tried to drag a post to a new date, and the autosave lost a whole month of ideas twice. I ended up spending about 14 hours over 3 months just fighting the software instead of writing anything. Last Tuesday I opened a plain spreadsheet, made 5 columns, and mapped out 20 posts in about 20 minutes. The tool charged me $180 and I can't get a refund because I passed the 30 day window. Has anyone else paid for a planner that ended up slower than just writing stuff down?
Ugh been there. I dropped like $120 on some scheduling app for my food blog and spent more time re-entering stuff it randomly deleted than actually planning anything. Google Sheets has never once lost my data or crashed on me, so I'm done paying for fancy tools that do less.
