My grandma's tuna casserole with crushed potato chips on top gets so much hate but I've been eating it for 30 years

Last week my roommate saw me making it and literally gagged, said it looked like cat food lol. But that crunchy salty chip layer over creamy noodles is pure comfort to me, has anyone else got a family dish that everyone outside the house thinks is gross?

Tell your roommate to mind their own plate, you're not forcing them to eat it. If it hits the spot for you, that's all that matters.

Wow wait, did I read that right? Did you actually try cat food tacos or is this a joke? Like, I know you said they hit the spot but I'm genuinely shocked here. @olivia_allen your comment about extra stale chips made me laugh but now I'm thinking maybe this whole thing is just a bit gone too far. I mean, I guess if it's safe and you're not hurting anyone, you do you, but I can't get past the idea of cat food being the main ingredient. I'm not judging your taste buds but maybe just check the ingredients list once more before you commit to this again.

Tell your roommate to worry less about your dinner and more about their own plate, sounds like they need a snack. Maybe if the chips are extra stale they'll look more like proper food instead of cat food lol.
