My weird comfort food is peanut butter and pickle sandwiches
I ate these when I was a kid visiting my grandma in Portland and she made them for me after a bad day at school. Last week I got the urge again and whipped one up with dill pickles and crunchy peanut butter. The crunch plus the tang plus the sweet just hits different, and my roommate looked at me like I was insane. Anybody else got a weird combo they swear by?

Wait wait wait, hold on. Your grandma made these in PORTLAND? That's wild, I lived in Portland for a couple years and I swear everyone there has some random food combo they're really into. But for real though, peanut butter and pickles is a classic, not as weird as people think. I'm more shook by the Portland connection than the sandwich itself honestly. The salty and sweet thing just works, and I bet the crunch from dill pickles is the real key to it all.
