Finally found a fix for frizzy hair in humid summer weather

I do a lot of bridal updos and downstyles in Charleston, and July has been brutal with the humidity. Every client walked out with flyaways no matter what serum I used. Last week I tried something new: I sprayed a light mist of hairspray on my fingers and smoothed the edges before the final set. That alone cut my finishing time from 15 minutes to 7. Then I sealed it with a tiny dab of pomade on the crown. It held through an outdoor ceremony and 4 hours of dancing. Has anyone else tried the finger-spray trick or do you swear by something else for humid jobs?
