Took the cosmetology state board exam in Phoenix and now I see why everyone fails the practical

Honestly, I used to think people complaining about the practical part were just bad at it, but after taking it at the Phoenix convention center last month, I get it. The mannequin head they gave me had hair that was way too oily and the clock started before I even found my station number, which was 23. That 90 minute time limit is brutal when you have to stop and re-pin every section because the clips they provide are garbage. Has anyone else found the real salon environment is actually slower than the exam, or am I just doing this wrong?

Oh man, that clock thing is the absolute worst, I felt that in my soul when you said that. Those cheap clips are a total setup, it's like they want you to panic.
