That unexpected snag in the control line took me 4 hours to troubleshoot when it should have been 10 minutes
I spent half my shift on a rental after hours trying to figure out why the swing brake was sticking, only to find a tiny pebble jammed in the linkage that the night crew missed during inspection, and honestly has anyone else had a simple fix like that eat up their whole day?

Yeah a pebble locked up a clutch pedal on an old Case for me once.

1987 Ford 5000, same thing happened to me with a piece of gravel in the pedal linkage. That kind of stuff drives you nuts because it's so tiny but it'll lock the whole thing up solid. I started carrying a can of compressed air and a little wire brush in the toolbox specifically for cleaning out crannies like that. Worth a shot if you're still messing with that Case, just blast it out before you start pulling the whole pedal assembly apart. Saves you a whole afternoon of cussing.
