Watched a guy in Houston boom up blind over a school bus last Tuesday and it stuck with me
I was on a 60 ton rig at a job site off I-10 near Houston last Tuesday when a truck crane op in the next lot started booming up with a school bus parked right under his load path. He never honked, never spot checked it, just went up slow like nothing was there. Turned out he had a certified signal guy on the other side who never saw the bus either. I walked over after and asked if they always work that lot that way, and he shrugged and said the bus leaves at 3 anyway. Anyone else seeing more of these blind picks with no spotter on the ground these days?
