I always thought a password manager was overkill until my email got hit

For years I just reused a few simple passwords, thinking I'd remember them. Then last month my old Yahoo account got breached and someone tried to reset my bank login. I switched to Bitwarden and now have over 50 unique passwords. Has anyone else had a close call that finally made them use a manager?

My close call was when I forgot the password to my own Netflix account. I had to admit I was the security threat in my own house. That was the final push I needed.

It's funny because this is exactly the kind of thing that shows how passwords are a mess for everyone. We're expected to remember a different secret code for every single service, but our brains just aren't built for that. Netflix, Amazon, your email, your bank it all blends together until you're locked out of something you pay for. Really makes you notice how many logins a normal person has to juggle these days.
