inHot take: my espresso machine's steam wand clogged with what I think was a piece of almond milk skin, and it took me 45 minutes of poking with a paperclip and a prayer to get it flowing again.
Oh, that brings back a bad memory. My French press screen once caught a whole cardamom pod. I must have ground it by mistake. Spent half an hour taking the thing apart, picking out tiny black seeds from the mesh with a toothpick. The coffee that morning tasted like perfume, in a bad way. Some clogs just have a personal vendetta against your routine.

inShoutout to the guy in Renton who told me to just replace the whole dryer
Oh, that's rich. Right, @alicesingh, some people just have that throwaway mindset now. It drives me nuts because that heating element is a cheap, easy fix. I see it all the time, folks ready to junk a perfectly good machine over a fifty dollar part. They've been sold this idea that nothing is worth fixing anymore. Makes you wonder what else they're tossing out for no good reason.

inMy smart fridge tried to order 12 gallons of milk because it thought I was depressed
That "wellness sensor" tracking your veggie drawer is so creepy. I read an article calling this stuff "solutionism" where gadgets fix problems that don't exist.

Yeah @grace_white, I switched to those plastic ones too after my last glass jar cracked.
