That Chloe Swarbrick walkout on the NZ parliament question - was it right?
She walked out during a debate about the Treaty of Waitangi bill, saying the process was ignoring Māori voices. Some called it brave protest, others said she was just grandstanding. Is walking out a legit form of political pushback or does it kill any chance of real conversation?

Exactly. Walking out sends a clearer message than staying and letting them talk over you.

Can't believe people are actually defending this as "brave protest." @simon_coleman you really think walking out sends a clearer message? Nah man. Walking out just lets the other side keep talking without anyone pushing back. She's supposed to be there representing people. Leaving the room means giving up your seat at the table. The whole point of parliament is to hash stuff out even when it gets ugly.

Honestly, I've been in situations where staying just got me talked over and ignored. Walking out actually got people's attention and made them listen later.
