I skipped a router update for convenience and my whole home network got messed up. Now I'm stuck between updating as soon as possible or holding back to see if it causes issues. What do you all think is the better move?

Bro you skipped a router update for convenience? That's like leaving your front door unlocked because you couldn't find the key. Update it now, the risk of a messed up network is way lower than the risk of getting hacked. Never put convenience over security, man.
