My old broker told me something at a diner on Federal that I still chew on
Ran into my first broker, Dale, at a diner on Federal last month. He's 74 now and still doing small deals, and he told me the $18 a foot office space we used to fight over on Broadway would be lucky to get $9 today. He also said the 16th Street Mall was the spot when he started and now he takes clients to RiNo just to get them to sign anything. Made me think about how much of this business is just timing and zip codes. Anyone else have an old timer drop a number on you that messed with your head?
