Used to write down bumper stickers in a notebook, now I just snap a photo and I'm missing the good arguments

Found out my city's 311 line logs every call into a public map, and my block's top complaint in 2023 was 'loose dog' with 47 reports

A barista in Seattle made me rethink AI art tools

Isn't the real issue that your mockups weren't accurate, not the tool itself?

Warning: I watched a driver at the Richmond, VA terminal unload a car with a forklift, and now I only use enclosed transport

My own car got a nice new scratch from an open carrier once, so I'm basically an expert at eating repair costs now. Curious if anyone ever got a carrier to actually pay up.

Pro tip: don't trust the built-in Windows reset when a shop PC comes in crawling with junk

The reset kept the old user profile junk, yeah that's the whole problem right there. Windows reset only touches the OS files, it leaves user folders and startup stuff alone. Learned that the hard way too, now I just pull the drive and image it clean.

My niece asked me to pick between her crayon drawing and an AI version of it, and I froze

Did you tell her the 7 legs are the best part because nobody else in the world would think to draw that? I used to shrug off kid art as just cute clutter, but seeing her face drop like that would've wrecked me too, and now I get why the weird flaws are the whole thing.
